ATAC – Advanced Training for the Armed Citizen
Realty based gun fight training that goes way beyond the fundamentals. Students attending Advanced Training for the Armed Citizen (ATAC) should have the ability to train for an entire day at an intense level. Due to the material covered a command of core skills is a pre-requisite.

Equipment required:
- Photo ID
- Dependable handgun in .38 caliber minimum
- At least one additional magazine for semi auto (speed-loaders for revolvers)
- A dominant side holster that covers the trigger guard fully
- A magazine pouch for the extra magazine
- Kneepads
- Eye and hearing protection
- A hat with a brim
- A note pad and pen
Round Count: 400-500 rounds
Course Length: 8 hrs.
Training Evolution #1 (9am-11am)
Introductions, Releases and Logistics. Instructors and students perform ATAC pre-course baseline competencies exercise. Student development drills are designed to challenge core competencies, and create class acceptance of the 360 degree operating environment.

Training Evolution # 2 (11am-1pm)
Cyclic Rate Trigger Control Techniques that will provide you with high hit ratios. Using your Tactile Index Points effectively to gain even more speed at presentation. Surgical Precision Techniques, and developing your personal default rate of fire as it relates to distance.
DEMONSTRATION, INSTRUCTION, DISCUSSION, DRY FIRE, LIVE FIRE
Lunch: You may bring your lunch (recommended), or there are restaurants near the range.
Training Evolution # 3 (2pm-4pm)
Retention Considerations for the Armed Citizen. Developing your personal defaults for various circumstances. Surviving the initial assault. Hands on emergency weapons access drills. Integrated Force Options for the concealed carry citizen. Weapons deployment while grounded.

Training Evolution # 4 (4pm-6pm)
Getting out of the kill zone. Understanding the problem from your personal perspective, and developing your “get off the X” defaults. Extensive movement and precision gun handling drills.
